We are searching for a dynamic “people person” with a  passion for numbers to fill our Human Resource/Payroll Coordinator position.  The HRPC reports to the VP of Administration and coordinates payroll functions with the Accounting Manager.  Responsibilities include daily, quarterly and annual payroll functions, reporting, and recordkeeping for contractual, salaried and hourly staff; processing and monitoring of employee benefits and insurance programs; and governmental data reporting and tracking. Ability to confidentially perform both payroll and human resource duties including accurately maintaining employee records and benefits in its entirety; assist in employee hire/separation processing and ability to address payroll, benefits and employee HR matters in a positive, expedient manner. Familiarity with UIA, FMLA, COBRA,S/LTD, Workers Comp, and Payroll experience preferred.  Position routinely assists a diverse staff, vendors, and clients with HR and payroll matters in a fast paced, unique customer service driven industry.  

Minimum of 2 years experience in like position and/or an Associate’s Degree.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook; SAGE 100 preferred. BARTENDER (On-Call)

The Lansing Entertainment & Public Facility Authority seeks dynamic, customer service driven individuals, seeking on-call, event driven, and employment to fill our Bartender positions. The ideal candidate possess bartending skills and experience; enjoys working with diverse staff and clientele in a fast paced, event driven industry and is professional in their demeanor and attire, and is reliable and dependable.

In addition to bartending skills, the ideal candidate will also possess basic math skills, POS and/or cash register knowledge, bar set-up and tear-down skills, cash handling abilities, and alcohol safety standards and practices. The Bartender position is an on-call, entry level position reporting to the Bar/Concessions & Special Events Manager. A High school diploma or GED is required.

Due to the nature of the events and entertainment industry, this position may require irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $8.90 per hour. ON-CALL FACILITY WORKER (part-time)

This position is to provide assistance in an on-call, as need basis for the facility. As an on-call facility worker some of your duties will include room set-up/tear down, perform, custodial duties such as cleaning of restrooms, maintaining interior and exterior of facilities. Download an application for employment, or visit the Lansing Center, 2nd Floor Administrative office for an application.   

EVENT STAFF (on-call/part-time)

This position is required to work flexible weekday, evening and weekend hours. There is no minimum hour guarantee. These positions work at the Lansing Center and Cooley Law School Stadium and are based on event schedules. Pay $8.90 per hour. BANQUET SERVER (part-time)
Part-time, banquet servers are needed for the Lansing Center. Position requires ability to interact with guests/clients and co-workers in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner; as well as a positive attitude/demeanor while providing superior customer service to our guests. Prior food and beverage experience preferred.

Ability to lift 25 pound trays required as well as ability to walk or stand for long periods of time. Candidate must be 18 years of age. Hours vary based on events and may include weekends, holidays and evenings. Pay $9.88 per hour.

STEWARD/DISH WASHER (part-time)
Part-time on-call dish washers are needed for the Lansing Center. One – two years institutional setting experience preferred. Ability to lift 25-50 pounds required as well as ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

Candidate must be 18 years of age. Hours vary based on events and may include weekends, holidays and evenings. Pay $8.90 per hour.

COOK (part-time)
Part-time on-call cooks are needed for the Lansing Center. One – two years of culinary experience in an institutional setting preferred. Ability to lift 25-30 pounds required as well as ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

Candidate must be 18 years of age. Hours vary based on events and may include weekends, holidays, and evenings. Pay $11.86 per hour.
