Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA) seeks a creative, energetic visionary Golf Course Manager/Head Golf Professional to fill our full-time, year -round position. LEPFA’s Golf Course Manager/Head Golf Professional is a customer service focused, positive leader, with outstanding attention to detail. Position is responsible for the general administration, management, coordination and supervision of the course staff, activities, facilities, and operations of the Groesbeck Golf Course. General oversight includes events, food & beverage, merchandise, sales & marketing, course and facilities operations in an efficient, effective and timely manner while complying with state/local codes, ordinances, laws, and accepted golf standards resulting in positive revenue generation and ensuring a superior experience for Groesbeck Golf Course customers, while maintaining the integrity of the course.

Skills include: computer skills - including office suite and golf course management software; organizational skills/abilities; maintaining records; accuracy of invoices, billings and extra charge sheets, and ability to routinely work with a diverse clientele and staff. Position requires irregular schedules including evenings, and weekends and holidays. Must be able to perform job duties in inclement/adverse weather, and in outdoor/environmental allergens.

A degree from accredited four-year college or university with a degree in professional golf management, sports management, business administration or related field. Management experience in golf course management, may be substituted at the rate of two (2) years’ experience for each year of college. Five (5) years progressively responsible golf course management experience required. Certification as a PGA class “A” professional in good standing preferred. Four (4) years of appropriate experience may be substituted for the preferred class “A” certification. SALARY RANGE: $45,000-$55,000/yr.
