2ND SHIFT MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT: BUILDING ENGINEER (Full Time)

The Maintenance Department seeks a full-time, detail oriented, skilled trades trained, team player for the second shift. Responsibilities include repair and maintenance of the Authority’s facilities, equipment, infrastructure and grounds to ensure that services & facilities are in safe & exceptional working condition, in an efficient, effective and timely manner. Supervised by the Maintenance Manager and performs work of skilled maintenance personnel including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, structural, HVACR and building systems in the maintenance, repair, and construction of Authority properties, events, and equipment. Knowledge of blueprints, schematics and/or construction specifications to properly identify, maintain and repair facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery. Position keeps all facilities’ tools, machinery and equipment in good, safe condition. Assists Maintenance Manager in inventory control of tools, machinery and equipment; utilizes work order system for repairs; and maintains supply & equipment storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent GED; 18 years of age or older; possess & maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license. Certification in electrical, carpentry, HVACR or plumbing preferred. Minimum three (3) years of experience performing maintenance & repairs on commercial structures. Position routinely assists diverse clients, staff, and vendors in a unique customer service-driven industry.
Position is full-time, afternoon shift 2p–10p, CBA covered. Comprehensive benefits package, hourly starting wage $20.56. HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL COORDINATOR (Full-time)

We are searching for a dynamic “people person” with a  passion for numbers to fill our Human Resource/Payroll Coordinator position.  The HRPC reports to the VP of Administration and coordinates payroll functions with the Accounting Manager.  Responsibilities include daily, quarterly and annual payroll functions, reporting, and recordkeeping for contractual, salaried and hourly staff; processing and monitoring of employee benefits and insurance programs; and governmental data reporting and tracking. Ability to confidentially perform both payroll and human resource duties including accurately maintaining employee records and benefits in its entirety; assist in employee hire/separation processing and ability to address payroll, benefits and employee HR matters in a positive, expedient manner. Familiarity with UIA, FMLA, COBRA,S/LTD, Workers Comp, and Payroll experience preferred.  Position routinely assists a diverse staff, vendors, and clients with HR and payroll matters in a fast paced, unique customer service-driven industry. 

Minimum of 2 years experience in like position and/or an Associate’s Degree. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook; SAGE 100 preferred. Includes comprehensive benefits package. Salary range $28-$40,000 commensurate with education and/or experience. BANQUET SERVER

If you are energetic, friendly, dependable, and a team player, who desires to provide over-the-top customer service in the Food and Beverage industry, a Banquet Server position may be the position for you. The LEPFA Food and Beverage team seeks team members who are able to work part-time, varied schedules driven by event demand, in the fast-paced, customer service driven, food and beverage industry.

ON-CALL FACILITY WORKER

If you are an energetic, friendly, dependable, and a team player, who desires to provide the best customer service experience in an ever changing events industry, Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority has the right position for you. Team LEPFA is seeking candidates who are seeking part-time work and can work varied schedules based on event demands, in a fast-paced, customer servic-driven industry. On-Call Facility Worker starting wage is $9.88 per hour.
